KEVIN KREIGER is a Portland-based poet and playwright who  works in independent College/Graduate School Admissions Counseling, with backgrounds as a Writing and French Instructor, and Alternative Health Practitioner (see below).

His first collection of verse, KAIROS, was published by Tebot Bach Press (Huntington Beach, CA) in 2016.


His plays have been read or produced in venues including the French National Theatre, U.C. San Diego/La Jolla Playhouse, and The Fountain Theatre in Los Angeles.

He has taught writing and French at institutions from U.C. San Diego to Phillips Andover Academy to the Université de Dijon in France.  He is privileged to do extensive volunteer counseling and educational work with scholastically-challenged inner-city communities, particularly with author Dave Eggers' 826 organization (www.826.org).  In April 2012 he was invited to lead a series of seminars on written self-expression in China and Taiwan. 


Kevin also served for 10 years as a Chinese Herbalist and Nutritional Consultant with the renowned Tea Garden Herbal Emporium in Los Angeles, where among other things he specialized in education about personal environmental toxins and organic skin/body care.


Kevin holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Playwriting from U.C. San Diego; a Masters in Shakespearean Studies from Oxford University; and a B.A. magna cum laude in English and French from Amherst College, where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
